The regular monthly board meeting was held at the Kalamazoo Red Cross on March 7, 2006. President Dave Schneider (AB8DS), called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM. Also present were Board members Ron Schubot, N8CML; Don Verhage, KC8OQM; Jim Gardner, KI8HF; Dave Newatny, KC8WLD; Dave Clark, W8DO; Al Lewis, W8JCY; and Art Snapper, NK8X. Also present was Jim Keesler, K8EXF and Bill Vande Werken, N8ZSF, President of the SMART club.
The Minutes of the February meeting were approved (Al, Don)
Treasurer’s Report was approved (Al, Don).
Old Business:
County has approved our use of Prairie view Park for field day.
New Business:
We had discussions on what to do to make the clubs more viable. Do we need two clubs? What can be done to combine the clubs? No answers, only questions.
We had a discussion on ways to get people involved and to attend meetings.
It was decided to ask the members at the March meeting if they wanted to have a potluck at the April meeting.
